I understand the struggle of trying and failing to lose weight. For years I yo-yo dieted and struggled to shift any of the excess weight. That all changed when I discovered keto. I am here to help you reach your health and weight loss goals so that you too can turn your life around. I did it, and you will too!
I hit my lowest low point on New Years Eve, 31 December 2017. None of my clothes fit me anymore, I constantly felt lethargic and I was extremely bloated - especially after eating anything. My self-confidence was at an all time low.  
It was summer time, but despite the hot days I felt so uncomfortable wearing shorts or showing off my arms. All of my friends were carefree enjoying the long summer days. I made every excuse to avoid the beach, the pool, anywhere I couldn’t hide in my baggy clothes. I no longer recognised my own reflection when I caught sight of myself in a pane of glass. There was no way that I had gained that much weight, had I? … Turns out, I had.  
I was overweight and overwhelmed. It affected everything. My mental health, my physical health and my emotional health. I was binging food and using it as a coping mechanism for all the stress points in my life. I felt out of control and I did not know what to do to turn things around.
My weight gain didn’t happen overnight, it had crept on bit by bit for years. I desperately wanted to get back into my old clothes, to regain my energy and to feel GOOD about myself again.
That New Years I made a promise to myself. I promised that I would prioritise myself, my health, and that I would make the changes I needed to make to reclaim my life.
What happened from there changed my life. I discovered the ketogenic diet and my health and weight loss journey began. Never before had I been able to stick with a New Years’ resolution, but this time it was totally different.
Unlike the other times I had tried to lose weight and failed, this time it was easy. The food I was eating was so delicious and I could still have sweet treats, pizza and enjoy all of my favourite foods. I did not feel hungry, or deprived in anyway. It was actually enjoyable!
Because I was enjoying it so much, I never gave up and I was able to lose weight in a lasting way! My confidence grew, my old clothes started to fit again, and I no longer made excuses to avoid places like the beach or pool again.
When I started out at first I had no idea where to start. I found the process incredibly confusing... what can I eat? How much can I eat? Is “keto” only eating butter and bacon? 
I had so many questions! I spent a lot of time researching the ketogenic diet, and went about creating my favourite non-keto recipes into keto friendly versions so that I didn't feel deprived. I also educated myself on how much of these recipes I could eat to ensure that I still reached my weight loss goals. 
I have put all of that information into the ultimate guidebook for beginners to make the process super straightforward and enjoyable for others who want to turn their life around.
